Biblical Dream Interpretation

Some of you seem to be caught up in the biblical dream interpretation fad. Trying to interpret dreams of any kind is like trying to figure out the purpose of one grain of sand.

I had a dream last night but it meant absolutely nothing. It was a dream! We all have them. Dreams have something to do with the brain slowing down and resting.

If you receive a dream from God you will definitely know it. It won't be a kaleidoscope of meaningless images of events and conversations like dreams usually are, but a definite unforgettable event that effects your life. You won't have to consult a "dream interpretations" book or web page.

WHAT ARE DREAMS?

When we go to sleep for the night or just for a nap, all the images and conversations that are in both our short term and long term memories, start discharging from our conscious mind. We need deep sleep to recharge our bodies and our minds. While "wiping the slate clean" of our recent activities in preparation for deep sleep, our conscious mind mingles our recent conversations and sights and sounds with our imagination, producing "dreams".

However, sometimes God impresses on an individual, a dream to reassure, warn, or command. This is evident in some portions of the bible. A dream of biblical proportion will definitely cause the recipient to act on the experience.
A good Christian may receive a recurring dream which will cause he or she to become a better and nicer person. Whereas a schizophrenic may believe God is talking to them, and may go out and kill or hurt someone else.

GOD WILL NEVER TELL ANYONE TO KILL OR HARM ANOTHER PERSON.

Do not get caught up in dream interpretation groups or study. Instead, get caught up in the Holy Spirit and study the testimony of Jesus of Nazareth, Son of the Living God.
